Set in its own 7-acre landscape, close to the park and Cariba Creek Water Park, the Alton Towers Hotel is in the ideal place. The hotel was opened in March 1996 and was the first hotel to be located in a theme park in the UK! There are 175 Discovery rooms and 8 themed rooms in the Alton Towers Hotel, even though there are a lot of rooms, they book up quickly so be sure to book well in advance. The Hotel takes inspiration from the travels of Sir Algenon Alton, every corner is packed with Sir Algenon’s personal memorabilia, from his quirky flying machine invention in the entrance hall to the time capsule musical lifts!

After travelling around the park all day you can return to your room and relax, if you still have the energy you can explore Cariba Creek by walking across the hotel walkway, or go downstairs to watch the live entertainment! If you really feel like pampering yourself there is a Spa located on the first floor of the hotel available for an additional charge. Check in is from 3pm, although you can check in earlier if your room is ready. If you check in before 3pm and your room isn’t ready simply leave your luggage with the porter and when you come back later your luggage will be waiting in your room for you. Checkout is at 10am, you are welcome to leave your luggage with the porters so you can collect it at the end of the day. When staying in the Alton Towers Hotel, depending on the package you choose you can either have a simple bed and breakfast option or you can include admission for one day in the park and entrance to the water park in the price as well. If you've booked a hotel package which includes theme park tickets you will also receive a ride priority ticket for selected attractions. You can also enter the park through a special walkway conveniently located at the bottom of garden until 1pm, so there are no queues or hassle to get in! Through this entrance you won't miss a second of your Early Rider Time.
