The Alton Towers Hotel Spa provides the perfect chill out zone in which to unwind after a thrilling day in the theme park. The lower level is home to the peaceful Aqua Relaxation Rooms, whilst the 9 beautifully designed treatment rooms on the upper level take inspiration from Arabic and Eastern culture, each with its own individual style. Softly draped ceilings, gentle music and hand painted murals on the walls heighten the experience .
When you enter the Spa you will
be asked by the spa therapist if you want a tour of the relaxation
rooms, it’s advisable to take this tour just to make sure you make
the most of the facilities. You will also be given some useful tips
when using certain rooms. You will then be guided to the changing
rooms, where you will have a robe and slippers waiting for you.
Remember the lockers need a pound coin which is refundable. You are
then free to explore the Relaxation rooms. The spa is very peaceful,
with gentle background music a very limited amount of people are
allowed in the Spa at any one time, so you will often find you have
relaxation rooms or even the pool to yourself. If you’re planning on
spending a couple of hours in the Spa, it’s a good idea to bring
some change for the mini bar, which is located by the sun lounges in
the Conservatory
The Spa is a nice place to relax and spend an hour or two at the end of a busy day. However it’s very expensive if it isn’t included in your hotel package. If you’re a member of a good Health Club you won’t be that impressed.
