At the heart of Cloud Cuckoo Land is a traditional merry-go-round
with the twist you would expect from the Towers' latest area.
Climb aboard your very own steed, or jump into a carriage if you
prefer on this brightly painted version of a good old fashioned roundabout,
which is sure to delight riders of all ages.
Attraction History
When the Carousel first opened in 1991 it operated in Talbot Street
outside the park's old haunted attraction, Doom and Sons, in a plaza
where the Great Glass Elevators of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
now stand.
When the area
became the Land of Make Believe the ride, which became known as the
Gallopers Carousel, was moved to a central position, standing more
or less in the very same spot it occupies today. It stayed here
until it moved to Adventure Land in 1997, where it operated
alongside the Beastie until the end of the 2003 season when it was removed to make way for Spinball Whizzer
and once again became part of Cred Street.
