During 2006 and 2007 season, Alton Towers ran a series of Behind the Scenes tours of the park, allowing guests to get a unique view of the park. During the tours guests were allowed into maintenance and control areas of various rides as well as being shown a variety of objects from the Towers Archives and allowed to scale lift hills to get some spectacular views of the park.
