Alton Towers
have employed several other mascots over the years, which have
appeared in shows in the park, cartoon strips, as park guides or as
general entertainment in the park.
Here we look at
some of the more minor characters who have appeared over the years,
some we don't even know the name of.
If you have any information on these characters please email the
Site Editor.
A.T.
was the Alton Towers host in 2001 and 2002, he would greet
guests as they queued for the monorail and give them information
about the park, he was replaced by Russell and Geoff Crow in
2003.
The
Bugs frequently appeared in the Wonderful Times, playing games
and scampering around after other characters. It is not known if
they ever appeared in the park itself.
The
headless ghost first appeared in 1988 as one of the spooky
residents of the Towers ruins in one Henry Hounds books. He
later also appeared as a costume character in the park, where
one of his jobs was to promote the new Haunted House.
The
Owl appeared in the ice show, Captain Henry's Gold. It is not
known what role it played in the production nor whether it ever
appeared outside the ice arena... or whether it even had a name.
