One of the original themed attractions within the park, Dinosaur
Land opened in the Springfield Centre in 1981. Guests were
invited to come face to face with prehistoric beasts as they wandered
through this walkthrough attraction filled with dinosaurs and other
long extinct animals.
At the end of
1983 Dinosaur Land became somewhat extinct as the area was excavated
in preparation for the Blackhole, which would arrive the following
season. However not all of the
Dinosaurs were removed from the park, as several of them were moved
to the Log Flume for the 1984 season.
