In 2004 the Circus of
Illusion replaced the technological Webmaster in the Storybook Land
Big Top. The Show took elements from the popular Spooktacular Ice
Show, with the performance including both Illusions and Dance
routines as well as circus performances.
Also included in the
show is a montage of clips from old shows and parades in the park,
including the Circus Hassani, Peter Rabbit and the original Circus
on Ice from the late 80s.
In 2005 the Circus of
Illusion was expanded, with the show now being fronted by The Twins,
a famous pair of illusionists. With the new hosts came a variety of
new illusions, including one which saw the pair make it snow inside
the big top.
The 2005 closed
season saw the big top host the Magic of Panto on Ice during the
Winter Weekends, but as in transpired this was the last show to be
hosted in the venue. Since the start of the 2006 season the Big Top
has sat empty in Storybook Land.
