Opening in June 2002, the newly built Alton Towers Ice Arena
became home to the spectacular family show, Webmaster: An Adventure On Ice.
The show
was quite a departure from the Peter Rabbit ice adventure that it
replaced but still retained the magic as it told the story of a
computer genius who used his imagination to take a journey to Webworld. Along with the Cybercrew and the Webmaster himself, he attempted to tackle the evil mother virus which was threatening to kill imagination.
The show
was accessible through the Webmaster shop in Storybook Land and
was on 3 or 4 times a day, featuring a host of talented skaters
alongside atmospheric music, magical illusion and state of the art
technical effects.
